Meet Zidoo A5 and A5S, the new entry level Mini PC's from Zidoo
While everyone (including me) was expecting to test the newest RTD1295 flagship (X9S), Zidoo was quietly working on a new entry-level Mini PC as well.
Today they announced the new Zidoo A5 and A5S devices, based on the Amlogic S905X SoC, which means they will come with 4K HDR, H.265 HEVC, VP9 and the price will be affordable.
Zidoo opted for two versions for their S905X Mini PC: one with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (A5) and one with a more generous (and up-to-date, if you ask me) 2GB/16GB combo (A5S).
Interesting enough, this model won't come with a external wi-fi antenna, wi-fi antenna is internal for A5S/A5.

There are subtle differences between Zidoo A5S/A5 and the rest of the Amlogic S905X - as I call it, "Zidoo goodies": the IR remote with learning function, the Zidoo UI, the excellent Zidoo remote - things Zidoo worked on/with over the last 2 years and that should make a big difference when compared to similar devices (you can read more about them in our Zidoo reviews.)
Zidoo A5S is already on Zidoo's website and details about price and availability should surface soon enough.
