MXQ HF10 is a Amlogic S905X-based Mini PC, which runs Android 6.0 and comes with the "usual" package (HDMI 2.0, 1GB of RAM, 8GB ROM, Ethernet, Bluetooth) full specs below.
Based just on this, it would be a boring device, but we didn't get to the fun part yet - MXQ HF10 comes with a voice-enabled remote that enables you to use Alexa Voice Service.

This is a surprise (at least to me) - we now have a rather cheap Chinese device with Alexa support less than a year after Amazon allowed access to third parties to their Alexa service!

While testing a Smart Home hub recently I got to play with both Google Home and Amazon's Echo and, much to my surprise, I found Alexa to be better (sorry, Google!).
With Alexa and IFTTT I got the system up and running in a matter of minutes, and my overall impression was that Amazon is a few steps ahead... or perhaps I had much higher expectations from the Google Home device?
In any case, it would be interestig to talk to your TV box and tell it to open the front gate or to turn on/off the lights on the porch...or the shades...or to play your favorite radio station.
