Amlogic S905
The Amlogic S905 SoC with it's quad core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU (up to 2.0 GHz) and penta-core ARM Mali-450 GPU (up to 750Mhz) is very popular, many devices are competing to get some attention from movie enthusiasts.
One of the most interesting devices is the Rippl-TV V2 which comes from Shenzhen Tomato - device already launched on Amazon as a successor to the first version of Rippl-TV which is now over one year old.
Rippl-TV V2 will follow the steps of it's predecessor and use the highly customized Android interface named utilOS (it's pronounced utilize).
utilOS is designed to play nice with the big screens and embeds quite a few entertainment sources and can be used as an app or as the main interface after boot -
you can also switch to the regular Lollipop launcher used by other Amlogic S905 devices.
If the first Rippl-TV version had a rather unusual design, the V2 won't dissapoint either. It now embeds a tiny VFD screen and the overall design looks solid.
