Wetek announced several new devices all using Amlogic platforms
Wetek teased for a while a new device that was supposed to be launched today at CABSAT 2016 in Dubai.
But they did more than that - announced several new devices that would be ready as early as next month. All of them are based on Amlogic SoC's (S805 and S905).
There were rumors that Wetek is somewhat worried that the lack of firmware encryption will allow Chinese manufacturers to copy their proprietary software and launch cheaper devices, maybe a solution was found since then.
Wetek Play 2S

Wetek Play 2SMost of the specs for Wetek Play 2S were leaked online a few weeks ago, so we knew that the device will use an Amlogic S905-H SoC (rev 3), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage and will feature an internal SSD mSATA. WeTek Play 2S will have an DVB-C/T/T2 combo (cable/terrestrial) and will come with an excellent airmouse with microphone and headphones jack. WeTek Play 2S will be available in Q2 2016. |

Wetek HubLast but not least, Wetek Hub will be at 71x71x20 mm the most compact of all Wetek Mini PC's and will use the Amlogic S905-H SoC with 1GB of RAM and 8 GB eMMC.
The device will have good network connectivity with dual-band wi-fi (802.11 b/g/n/ac 2.4/5 Ghz) and Gigabit ethernet.
