Rockchip RK3299
The newest Rockchip RK3229 SoC did attract quite some attention lately as devices using this chipsets are starting to surface.
Rockchip managed to get the most promising low-cost SoC to date to the market, one that has HDMI 2.0, promises 4k @ 60Hz and good H.265 decoding capabilities all around $30.
As I mentioned in a previous article, the OS might be a major drawback for the devices using this SoC, as Android 4.4 is outdated and it's general performance is lower than the one you'd get from newer Android 5.1 devices.
But let's wait for an actual review.
Mini MXQ comes in a small form-factor (at just 11cm by 11cm) and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB eMMC storage, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and SPDIF.
